Swedish soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored two goals on Saturday as AC Milan won the derby against fierce rival Inter Milan 2-1 in the Italian league.

In the 13th minute, Milan went ahead. The 39-year-old Ibrahimovic missed the penalty but followed the rebound into Inter’s net at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium.

Three minutes later, Milan doubled the lead on a counterattack when Ibrahimovic scored again.

Inter closed the gap to one in the 29th minute of the match when Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku shot in the area.

Lukaku’s goal gave Inter hope.

In the 74th minute, Inter received a penalty when Lukaku was fouled by Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

However, it was ruled out after a VAR (video assistant referee) review as Lukaku was caught offside prior to Donnarumma’s entry.

Milan secured the 2-1 victory to top the Italian Serie A standings with 12 points.

Called “Rossoneri” (Reds and Blacks), Milan are having an excellent season, winning all four league games in the 2020-21 campaign.

“Inter, you have been Zlataned,” Milan tweeted after the game to mock Inter, referring to the Swedish star’s two goals.
