As part of the preparation and preparation for the 2020/2021 league season, the Ghana Football Association (GFA), in collaboration with the Ghana National Match Commissioners Association (GHAMCO), will organize a two-day course for the members of the association selected to officiate. for the next season.

The course that will be for Match Commissioners (MC) in the Ghana Premier League, League Division One and Women’s Premier League will be held from October 29-30, 2020 in the Secretariat Conference Room of the GFA.

According to the Association’s vice president, Clement Walter Okai, the course will prepare match commissioners for the 2020/21 football season.

In addition, he indicated that Match Commissioners will be trained on modern match reporting trends as well as various topics to ensure they contribute positively to the advancement of league competitions.

Mr. Okai also emphasized the importance of members being aware of the recent amendments to the Laws of the Game by the International Football Association Board (IFAB) and also of the concept and interpretation of the Laws of the Game.

Key areas of importance that will be discussed during the course include;

-How to use the competition management system effectively, the key functions of a Match Commissioner.

-how to hold technical meetings and report writing.
