Nigerian singer Wizkid on Thursday criticized his colleague, Reekado Banks, announcing the release of a new song amid the ongoing EndSARS protest.
According to him, Nigeria is not in a good place for the former Mavin Records signer to promote new music.
“Eliminate this guy! I can’t believe you’re doing this at a time like this. Old song ! #endsars silly! “Wizkid wrote in a tweet.
This comes after Reekado Banks faced a backlash when he tweeted that his latest single titled ‘Omo Ologo’ featuring Wizkid would be released on Friday.
“Out of control, gbedu must fall. This one with my brother @wizkidayo “OMO OLOMO” at midnight throwing fire Still on the matter !!! #EndSWAT #EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutality, ” his tweet read.
In response, Wizkid, who had postponed the release of his album, ‘Made in Lagos’ due to protests, called Banks an influence hunter.
Hours later, Wizkid deleted the tweet that some users called severe.
Many Twitter users were dissatisfied with Wizkid’s reactions stating that hitmaker ‘Fever’ may have addressed Banks in private.
