The secretary general of the Democratic National Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has asked the people of the Southern District of Adansi to vote for the NDC for power on December 7.
Addressing people during his campaign tour in the Ashanti region, the secretary general compared politics to a “talking drum.”
“Politics is like a talking drum; If you play on one side and don’t enjoy it, turn and play on the other, ”he said.
The inhabitants of the area, mostly farmers and miners, who use motorcycles as a means of transport, complained about the unfortunate condition of the road linking Manso-Edubiasi, Manso-Kenyasi and their surroundings.
According to them, considering the serious impact that the road has on their lives and businesses, the political party that presents a definitive solution to the problem will get its vote at the polls in December.
“We are scared when a loved one goes to Kumasi and is delayed in returning due to the bad news we hear on the road. So we are very concerned about our roads and, for me, that is what will influence my vote, ”said one resident.
According to another resident who asked the NDC to come to their aid, although they voted for the NPP for power, their concerns remain unheeded.
“We beg you, ‘General Mosquito’ and Mahama, if you fix our roads then start now so we can decide who to vote for, because although the PNP has seats here, they have not addressed our need so please do so. something about it for us, we beg you ”, added the resident.
Asiedu Nketia promised that the NDC will build a first-class highway with lanes for motorcycles and bicycles if it is voted in power.
