National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential running mate Professor Naana Opoku Agyemang donated items to two organizations on Wednesday as part of her ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable people in Ghana.

He visited a group of youth rehabilitation institutions in South Labone and the Makers Disability Foundation in Dansoman, Accra.

The South Labone Girls’ Vocational Training Center and the Correctional Center for Girls are among several youth rehabilitation institutions that benefited from donated items.

Food supplies were made to both institutions including bags of rice, oil, cartons of water among others, and an undisclosed cash donation.

According to Professor Opoku-Agyemang, she indicated that the gesture was part of her lifelong personal commitment to ensure that those most susceptible to economic and social struggles received a helping hand.

“I believe that regardless of the circumstances, vulnerable Ghanaians, when given a fair chance, have the ability to contribute something to our nation.

“This is my best effort to encourage these young people to reorient their attitudes towards life and to help their courageous caregivers turn them into productive citizens.

In addition, he admonished the country’s wealthy people to follow in his footsteps and help the welfare of vulnerable people.

“I hope my small contribution inspires all well-meaning Ghanaians to do the same. I’m sure we can do it together, “she added.

Party officials and people who were present include H.E. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu, Deputy National Women’s Organizer Abigail Elorm and Mr Mustapha Abubakar, former Deputy Executive Director of Masloc, among many others.
