The wife of the Member of Parliament (MP) killed by Mfantseman, in the Central Region, Ekow Kwansah Hayford, has been listed as the candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2020 parliamentary elections in the area.
Ophelia Hayford, an assistant superintendent of police (ASP), was reportedly selected at an NPP meeting on Tuesday, Graphic Online reported.

Ekow Kwansah Hayford, until now the PNP parliamentary candidate for the 2020 elections who was assassinated last Friday by suspected armed robbers, submitted his nomination to the Election Commission on Thursday, October 8, 2020.
