Party on fire for Ghana: could he make his debut against Manchester City?

Helping Partey double!

On the day of our deadline, the signing of Thomas Partey has been shining in international service, which we hope is a good omen when we return to long-awaited Premier League action this weekend.

Despite not being on the roster, Thomas Partey played more than his fair share as his Ghana side managed a 5-1 friendly match against Qatar on Monday. Pocketing two assists along the way.

Of course we love it when our players do well internationally, but it would be amazing if, like Gabriel, Partey could be given the opportunity to debut against Manchester City.

Perhaps he could also shoot out of the blocks, and even if he doesn’t score, he can help the team pocket all three points against one of our four main rivals.

It would be nice if Partey could claim his claim on the team early on, but again we wouldn’t be mad at him if it took him time to settle, as long as it doesn’t take him long then I’m sure he will be forgiven.

After all the buzz and hoopla about him, I’m excited to see exactly what he will bring to our team and how the dynamics will evolve and maybe even change. There is no question of his ability, of course, but in a new country, in a new club, and with new teammates and environments to become familiar with, time will tell how Partey will integrate into our team.

But the best way to start, of course, is to get a couple of assists for your national team before joining your club for the season. I hope he can maintain his international form, in what will be an exciting debut for both Thomas and Arsenal, whenever it happens I’m sure. Gooners?
