Brazil sensation Rodrygo He said he doesn’t want to become the “new Neymar” as he addressed comparisons with the Selecao superstar.

The € 45m move from the 19-year-old Santos winger to Madrid in 2019 has carried weight amid comparisons with the Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar Y Robinho, who both emerged from the Brazilian club.
But Rodrygo is not comfortable with comparisons, telling reporters on the eve of Brazil’s CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying match against Peru on Tuesday: “Since the beginning of my career when I started in Saints, they already compared me as the ‘new Neymar’ and with RobinhoI always had that weight on me.

Rodrygo, who has three international appearances to his name, left the bank in Brazil’s 5-0 win over Bolivia in Sao Paulo on Friday.
He has played two LaLiga games with Madrid in 2020-21, having played 19 games last season and 26 in all competitions.
“I think it is very important to have a good level, we all know that we have excellent players in my position,” said Rodrygo. “It is very important that when it is my turn to play I do it well and do what Tite asks me to do in training and before every game.
