WWE boss Vince McMahon is no stranger to letting fledgling romances appear on screen, from his daughter Stephanie’s relationship with Triple H to even his own kayfabe affairs with Trish Stratus.
But while dramatic breaks and bitter love triangles are sometimes the best fight stories, the nature of the business means that the stars inevitably also end up together outside the ring.
Here SunSport takes you through ten of WWE’s powerful real-life couples …
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon
One of the most powerful couples in wrestling history, WWE legend Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, the daughter of CEO and President Vince, have been strong behind the scenes for more than 15 years.
The two first met on screen as part of a story involving a fake wedding in 1999 before legitimately starting to date a year later.
Stephanie married Triple H, real name Paul Levesque, on October 25, 2003.
The WWE power couple, who remain active television characters, have had three daughters since then.
Aurora Rose was born in 2006 and Murphy Claire entered the world in 2008, while Stephanie gave birth to Vaughn Evelyn two years later.
Brock Lesnar and Sable
The notoriously private Beast Incarnate, 42, caused a storm when he married former WWE star Sable, who is 10 years his junior, in 2006.
The couple never had a romantic story on television, with American model Sable, 52, proving to be one of the Age of Attitude stars in the 1990s, a decade before Brock became the face of Ruthless Aggression.
Sable, whose real name is Rena Marlette Lesnar, is now retired and lives with the former UFC heavyweight champion on a farm in Maryfield with his two sons, Turk and Duke.
The Undertaker and Michelle McCool
The Dead Man is one of the most sinister wrestling artists and reached cult status after he rarely breaks the character throughout his three-decade career.
Away from the ring, Taker, whose real name is Mark Calaway, married for the third time in 2010 after marrying WWE superstar Michelle McCool.
McCool, whose real name is Michelle Leigh Calaway, is a two-time former Divas champion and has made sporadic wrestling appearances since her retirement in 2011.
She had her first child with WrestleMania legend The Phenom, a daughter named Kaia Faith, a year later.
Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella
Both Bella Twins Nikki and Brie were involved in two of WWE’s highest-profile relationships with John Cena and Daniel Bryan, respectively.
While her twin sister parted ways with the Dinner Leader in 2018, Brie has since consolidated one of the company’s strongest couples alongside Bryan, a fan favorite.
The 2014 wedding of the two was screened at Total Divas and they are expecting their second child later this year.
The Miz and Maryse
WWE superstar “Most Must-See” The Miz and his wife Maryse got married in 2014 and currently have their own reality show together.
The colorful couple welcomed their second child, Madison Jade Mizanin, in September after the birth of their daughter Monroe Sky in March 2018.
Last year they reportedly spent a whopping £ 5.3 million on a new luxury home in California to raise their young family.
Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch
The RAW women’s champion announced her engagement to the beast killer last August after a whirlwind of secret romance.
Lynch, whose real name is Rebecca Quin, has been dating Rollins, whose real name is Colby López, since February 2019, but the couple went public with their relationship in May.
WWE soon incorporated their romance into an on-screen story that saw them team up for a winner to take all the mixed matches at Extreme Rules.
Andrade and Charlotte Flair
Another of WWE’s newest power couples: Andrade revealed that he knelt down to propose to 10-time female champion Charlotte on New Year’s Day.
The Mexican sensation revealed his close relationship with future father-in-law, the great Ric Flair, when he spoke exclusively with SunSport in January.
He said, “In a man-to-man talk we had, he said, ‘Protect my daughter, she has changed and she is happy.’ I said, ‘Yes, I will protect your daughter, I love her and I am also very happy.’ “
Edge and Beth Pheonix
The two members of the WWE Hall of Fame were married in 2016 and have two daughters together.
Despite retiring, Beth Phoenix, aka The Glamazon, was instrumental in helping her husband Edge, his real name Adam Copeland, as he made a dramatic return to the ring earlier this year.
The classified R-Superstar shocked the world with a return to the Royal Rumble almost nine years after he was forced to retire.
After recovering from his neck injury that ended his career to perform on the flamboyant rope show, he’s ready for a WrestleMania clash with Randy Orton after Viper’s attack on Edge’s wife, Beth.
Jimmy Uso and Naomi
The long-term relationship of the two was a great staple of the WWE spin-off reality series Total Divas, until they finally married in 2014.
Naomi, whose real name is Trinity Fatu, is also the stepmother of Jimmy’s (Jonathan) two children, Jayla and Jaidan.
The 32-year-old is a former SmackDown women’s champion, while her husband, son of WWE legend Rikishi, is half of the six-time label team Usos with her twin brother Jey.

Aleister Black and Zelina Vega
While working as Andrade’s manager, Vega began secretly dating the Dutch destroyer while they were both on NXT.

The couple even launched their own YouTube channel, “From A to Z: Aleister to Zelina” to document what they do outside the ring.
