Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman remains interested in signing Memphis Depay and Georginio Wijnaldum after missing the stars he knows well this summer.
The Catalan giants were linked to the movements of both players during the transfer window after Koeman’s appointment at the Camp Nou.
Liverpool midfielder Wijnaldum and Lyon striker Depay are players Koeman is familiar with during his two years at the Netherlands manager.
The Barcelona coach still hopes to meet his former players in the future after failing to acquire their services in recent months.
“Hopefully we will have a second Dutchman in the team,” he told NOS.

Wijnaldum has entered the final year of his contract at Anfield although he admitted last week that he was nowhere close to an exit to Spain.
Depay de Lyon also has less than a year left on his current contract and has recently refused to rule out a winter outing after a move to Barcelona failed to materialize.
