NPP will keep seat

The NDC held the post for 8 years before the nuclear power plant’s Ekow Kwansah Hayford seized it from him in 2016.

“Our late deputy was a good man who did a lot of work. His four-year job as a deputy is much more than the NDC’s job in 8 years,” he said.

He said any successful candidate would take advantage of the late deputy’s excellent works.

“We are not going to depend on votes of sympathy. The works of Kwansah Hayford speak everywhere and we are optimistic that the NPP will keep the job,” he added.

He urged members of the PNP to remain calm and support the family in prayers.

“I was with him when the incident happened and I have not recovered yet. He has hit us hard but we are praying and we know that he will make us even stronger.”
