The leader of Jallo, a branch of the Tijaaniya Muslim Order in Ghana, Sheikh Abufayed Ahmad Abdulai Maikano has made a public statement to vote for President Nana Akufo-Addo and her Vice, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The influential cleric made the statement during the commissioning of an ultra-modern mosque complex by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in Prang on Friday, October 9.
The commissioned mosque complex was built by Dr. Bawumia, for the Muslim community in Prang, and that act of kindness from the vice president, supported by President Akufo-Addo, earned the duo praise from leading Jallo figures during the commissioning of the mosque.
Sheikh Maikano, who led the praise and recognition on behalf of his people, stated that he will vote for the Akufo-Addo ballot in December because they have demonstrated a strong commitment to the progress and well-being of the people of Ghana, especially the people of Zongos. . .
“This dream of building such a magnificent mosque remained a mirage until Allah brought us President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia, who promised to make our dream come true,” said Sheikh Maikano.
“What we are seeing today is the result of that promise made by Dr. Bawumia and the president.”

Sheikh Maikano noted that showing gratitude is part of Islamic practice, as taught by Prolhet Muhammad, and in line with that, he promised that he and his followers will vote en masse for President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia on December 7 to show your gratitude.
“On December 7, I will vote for Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia, in sha Allah in gratitude for what they have done for us,” declared Sheikh Maikano, and his supporters backed him with thunderous applause.
The Islamic cleric added that his stance is inspired by a call from Prophet Muhammad to Muslims to thank people who are of service to others.
“My justification for this bold statement is that Prophet Muhammad urged us to be thankful to those who help us. The Prophet added that he who is not grateful to man will not be grateful to Allah. “

Speaking before officially commissioning the mosque, Vice President Bawumia expressed his gratitude to God “for building his own house.”
“This is a house for the Almighty Allah and we have Allah to thank for this. Without Allah, this magnificent mosque would not have been built. Allah made it possible and built His own house.
Dr. Bawumia stressed the importance of building mosques for Muslims and urged them to strongly advocate for one of them, promoting unity.
“The importance of the mosque for us Muslims cannot be underestimated. No matter how magnificent or small it is, we consider it a holy house of Almighty Allah, and a place for our community to gather and worship in unity, in obedience to Allah’s command, ”said Dr. Bawumia.

“As an ultra-modern complex of mosques, we hope that this beautiful building, Inshaa Allah, will serve these purposes and bring together the Islamic community here in Prang and its surrounding neighbors.”
In a video message, President Akufo-Addo said that the city of Prang is recognized in Ghana and beyond as a center for Islamic teachings and practices, and the construction of the mosque is a fitting tribute to Prang’s status in what regards Islam. worried.
