Supporters of the New Patriotic Party (PNP) braved a downpour to witness the presentation of the parliamentary nomination of the party’s Parliamentary Candidate (PC).
Supporters made up of the Hohoe Okada Riders Association, Zongo Youth for Amewu, and other groups from the traditional areas of the Constituency chanted ‘four more for Nana to do more’, ‘Johnny for Hohoe’ among others, while waiting for a direction. of your candidate.
Mr. John-Peter Amewu, the PC in a speech to the many supporters, expressed his gratitude to them, to the traditional leaders, as well as to the young people of the Hohoe Constituency, who considered it necessary to accompany him.
“The crowd just showed it, I think history was about to be made, and people were excited as they considered the many development projects they have witnessed during the nearly four years of the nuclear power plant administration.
He said that “victory is coming to the Hohoe constituency and you must be a part of this story. The parliamentary seat is not a traditional stool for anyone, but a seat for Hohoe and not for any stranger and the power to choose who sits on it belongs to you, the electorate.
“They were told, I am good and qualified to go to heaven, so let them know that I will have to go to heaven through Parliament. I am sure that everyone has witnessed the development project, so I urge you on December 7 to vote en masse for me and for the PNP. “
Amewu said that he was the only solution to all the years of suffering and wanted the electorate to be part of the new Hohoe.
Mr. Enoch Danso Agyekum, the Hohoe Municipal Election Officer, said the Election Commission (EC) was well prepared to conduct an incident-free, fair, credible and transparent election that would be acceptable to all contenders.
He said that three candidates from the Democratic National Congress, the National Democratic Party (NDP) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had so far submitted nominations to contest Hohoe’s seat.
Fredoline Bansah, a founding member of the Democratic National Congress (NDC) in the constituency, said she was thinking about preaching the skirt and blouse, but “having seen what the PNP and Amewu were doing,” she had decided to campaign for an individual in place of a holiday symbol.
“I have been with the party since 1992. The jobs Amewu has done in four years for the constituency are still unmatched. The NDC has never done anything and cannot do anything even if it remains in power forever. “
He urged all constituencies to vote for the PNP and John-Peter Amewu to represent them in Parliament for more development projects.
