A 20-year-old Mexican woman was shot and killed in a tragic accident while filming a fake kidnapping for TikTok.

Areline Martínez, who had previously posted other fake kidnappings on the social media app, was accidentally shot in the head last week while filming the latest video in Chihuahua City, Mexico News Daily reported.

At least 10 people were present when Martinez, tied and tied to a chair, began to fight with her fake captors and the .45 caliber pistol went off, hitting her in the head and killing her instantly, the outlet reported.

A YouTube video posted online shows Martinez seconds before his death.

Authorities said two men fled in a Jeep Cherokee immediately after the fatal accident, according to the report, which was originally published by Mexican news conglomerate Sipse.

Police identified the two men but have not yet located them, the outlet said.

It is unclear why a loaded weapon was used as a backup during the Oct. 2 incident, police said.

Martinez was the mother of a 1-year-old boy, according to reports. “Never sad, always crazy,” says his Instagram page.

Since then, friends and family have created a Facebook page in his memory.

“We hope that people who love Areline find comfort in visiting her profile to remember and celebrate her life,” the page reads.
