Elikplim Akurugu, the Democratic National Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Dome-Kwabenya constituency, has asked residents to vote for her as she seeks the parliamentary seat in the upcoming elections.

Addressing the media after presenting his parliamentary nomination on Wednesday, he said the time has come for constituents to switch incumbent MP Adwoa Safo to witness development initiatives in the area.

Among her initiatives, Ms Akurugu pledged to institute an SME loan scheme for small businesses, establish a fire station, build an industrial park, advocate for the vulnerable, empower women through programs and support students needy but bright.

“The cry of the people of Dome Kwabenya is change. Wherever you go, everyone is crying out for change. This is the moment of change for Dome Kwabenya, people are tired and demand a change ”, he stressed.

To her supporters, the parliamentary candidate expressed her gratitude for defying all odds to accompany her as she embarks on her political journey, adding that she will not disappoint them if she wins the election.

“They stood in the rain to join behind me and support me in their great numbers; I appreciate every part of this loyalty and commitment.

“I can say with the greatest optimism that today’s rains are showers of political blessing and a wind of change blowing across the entire Dome-Kwabenya constituency.”

He also urged his constituents to vote for NDC standard-bearer John Dramani Mahama to help the country progress.
