The running mate of the standard-bearer of the opposition Democratic National Congress, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, says the party’s manifesto does not promise heaven but doable progress.
According to the NDC’s running mate, the 2020 election is about significant progress and development that is inclusive and serves all Ghanaians.
She is convinced that the NDC has demonstrated in its time under John Dramani Mahama that the development of the country can be trusted.
Professor Opoku Agyemang was addressing the chiefs and people of Akim Akroso as part of her tour of the eastern region.
The NDC running mate said the footprints of President Mahama’s four years were evident throughout the country.
He cited the main road through Akim Akroso, which was granted under the John Mahama administration, but was stopped by the Akufo-addo-led administration as evidence of John Mahama’s commitment to the development of every part of Ghana.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang said former President Mahama’s NDC also demonstrated that it was not selective in allocating development projects.
He said that the NDC believes that every part of Ghana deserves development and will focus on deprived areas and complete all abandoned projects immediately when it takes office in January 2021.
Therefore, the NDC running mate urged people to vote wisely by voting for John Mahama to ensure Ghana’s progress.
