Although they were able to easily knock out the “shine” boys from St Augustines, Accra Academy had a hard time catching their breath in a clash with the NSMQ semi-finals.

However, the Speed Race in Round 2 changed OWASS’s fortunes. They stepped up their game to finish with 31 points. Accra Academy kept their 23 points from the first round and Boa Amponsem finished with 9 points.
In the third round, schools were tasked with solving a question for 10 points. OWASS got 8 of those points, while Accra Academy and Boa Amponsem got just 2 and 1 points respectively.
At the end of the round, OWASS led with 39 points widening the gap between them and their close rivals Accra Academy who finished with 25 points.
Accra Academy picked up the pace when they finished the competition’s True or False round with 38 points. But, OWAS brought their A game by completing the round with 55 points.
The fifth round in which they have to answer puzzles was a tough nut to crack for schools after they got three riddles wrong.
Boa Amponsem, however, chose the fourth puzzle from the second clue.
OWASS won the competition with 55 points, while its biggest competitor was behind with 38 points. Boa Amponsem SHS finished with 22 points.
