Ghana winger Albert Adomah signed a two-year contract with Queens Parl Rangers (QPR) on the day of the transfer deadline.

The 32-year-old joins the Championship Club on a free transfer, three days after leaving Nottingham Forest.

He was filled with excitement when he spoke of his enthusiasm for the transfer, admitting: “This is unreal, incredible!

Imagine being a fan and playing for the club you love. Words can’t even describe it. It’s just amazing, it’s a pleasure to be here. “

Adomah has been a QPR fan since he was young and explained: “They were my home team and as I passed the stadium when I was young I thought that one day I might play for this club.

“This is just surreal.

“All I can see now is Bobby Zamora scoring at Wembley. I should be here talking about myself, but that’s all I can think of right now!”

Adomah has been photographed in the past shopping for QPR kits at the Club Store, and he admitted: “I was in White City last week and was thinking of going to the club store to buy a jersey, but I thought I’d wait and get! one free! “

Adomah has played in the championship for a decade and is eager to add that vital experience to the QPR team.

“It is a very competitive league,” he said. “All teams want to move up. I’ve done it twice and it’s a beautiful feeling.

“If I could get a third promotion it would be one of my great achievements. That is my ambition. “

QPR boss Mark Warburton said: “It’s great that we were able to bring in Albert.

“We only have Geoff Cameron and Lee Wallace over 30 in the locker room so I am delighted to add Albert, he will provide a great experience.

“I spoke to people from Nottingham Forest who spoke enthusiastically about his professionalism, his character and what he brings on and off the court.

“He’s a proven player at this level, comfortable on both flanks, he’s still a good age, a kid from London and a QPR fan so it’s great to have him on board.”

Adomah will wear number 37 of the squad.
