Goalkeeper Richard Ofori will miss Ghana’s friendly matches against Mali and Qatar. The South African-based shooting stopper, which has been Ghana’s safest pair of hands since 2016, has been scrapped from the games because its work permit expired and it would require at least two weeks to renew. Coach CK Akonnor now has two goalkeepers, Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Razak Abalora, available for selection.

Pyramid FC’s top scorer is one of the players who would not make it to Turkey due to difficulties in obtaining a visa to travel to Antalya. John’s work permit has also expired and he would need no less than two weeks to get a new one.
Lumor Agbebyenu
The Sporting Lisbon left-back who played on loan for Real Mallorca last season was also unable to apply for a visa due to complications with his work permit.

The Ajax Amsterdam midfielder is a question for matches, but the GFA insists that he travel to Turkey on Tuesday for evaluation. The former Right to Dream Academy player was left out of the Ajax squad for Sunday’s Dutch League game against FC Groningen after sustaining an injury in training on Thursday.
Meanwhile, head coach CK Akonnor has delivered late calls to the Turkey-based duo Caleb Ekuban (Trabzonspor) and Joseph Paintsil (Ankaragucu). Ekuban has been recruited to replace John Antwi, while Paintsil replaces Lumor Agbenyenu.
