Kaneshie police arrested and detained two suspects in connection with the murder of Nana Ndoli Panin III, Baamuhene of Enchi Kramokrom on Friday, October 2, 2020.
The body of the deceased was found on the premises of a hotel in Kaneshie.
The two suspects; Kwame Ofori Ogyaba and Nana Kwame Kwakye, known to be the friend and spiritual father of the deceased, respectively; are to help with investigations
According to a police statement, around 7:05 p.m. Friday, the hotel’s deputy director reported that a male guest who checked in on Thursday, October 1, 2020, was found immobile in a pool of blood on his bed.
Upon receiving the notice, the Kaneshi Police Command invited the National CID and proceeded to the crime scene.
The deceased was identified by the police as Nana Ndoli Panin III, Baamuhene de Enchi Kramokrom; finance officer at Hot FM in Accra.
Giving more details, the statement revealed that on Thursday, October 1, 2020, around 1:00 pm, Nana Ndoli Panin III while in her office, received a phone call from her spiritual father; Nana Kwame Kwakye, to meet him at the hotel.
“He drove to the Takoradi truck station in Kaneshie, where he parked the vehicle and walked to meet the herbalist.”
The report further said that the Toyota Rav 4 vehicle suspected of being that of the deceased has been recovered from a location at the Takoradi truck station and taken to the station for further investigation.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been transferred from the scene of the crime and deposited in the morgue of the Police Hospital for its conservation, identification and autopsy.
