The running mate of the NDC flag bearer has ensured that the next NDC government will ensure that all sectors have the necessary resources to drive the development of the nation.
“This is enshrined in the manifesto of our people and we will implement it, as we did before, as we handle the affairs of the country, to bring more smiles to the faces of the entire population of Ghana, regardless of their political, ethnic and religious affiliations.” . Said Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
She provided security at a mini durbar held in Winneba as part of her tour of the Central Region to officially introduce herself to the electorates.
The tour was also to encourage people to vote for the NDC in power.
Earlier in the day, thousands of NDC supporters and sympathizers dressed in party colors brought Prof. Opoku-Agyemang into town amid chants, marching band music and dancing through the streets.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang applauded the people of Effutuman for warmly welcoming her and her entourage and urged them to continue to sustain and maintain peace in the interest of the development of the Area.
She urged Ghanaians to come out en masse to vote en masse for the NDC to take the reins of the administration to lessen the plight of the people while executing the people’s manifesto towards the full development of the country.
Later, the nominee nominee introduced Dr. James Kofi Annan, the NDC parliamentary candidate for the constituency, and asked people to vote en masse for him and the NDC.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang and his team, including; Mr. EKT Addo, NDC regional chairman, had previously paid a courtesy visit to Neenyi Ghartey VII, Supreme Chief of the Effutu Traditional Area, at his palace, where he prayed to Almighty God to lead and guide the team in all their efforts.
