The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), in collaboration with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Ghana Professional Footballers Association (PFAG), will launch the Ghana BringBackTheLove football tour on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Tourism Centro, near Afrikiko, Accra.

This initiative of the Ghana Tourism Authority aims to promote Ghana’s national tourism and brand, through football.

The tour would include various activities that have been scheduled to promote national and international tourism and to strategically position Ghana soccer.

This GTA program is in line with the government’s broader ‘Beyond the Return’ initiative, which succeeded the Year of Return program, launched in 2019.

The initiative is primarily to promote tourism and homecoming of Africans and Ghanaians in the diaspora and also to foster economic relations and investment in tourism and football.

The GTA has realized that football is an important part of Ghanaian daily life and wants to use “popular sport” to promote tourism in Ghana.
