Prosper Pi-Bansah, Ho’s municipal executive director, says security services have the city under control after an attack on the State Transportation Corporation yard by unidentified gunmen.
He said security services were monitoring the situation and urged residents to go about their daily activities without fear.
Pi-Bansah gave the security in a media interaction after a visit to the scene of the attack.
He said that security patrols in the municipality will be intensified and called for public cooperation to help end the crisis.
In the early hours of Monday, gunmen suspected of being members of the Western Togolese secessionist group stormed the courtyard of the STC, assaulted drivers and a security officer and set some buses on fire.
One bus was destroyed in the attack and another partially burned.
