Liverpool fans loved Jurgen Klopp’s response to Roy Keane last night.
The two shared a slightly awkward moment live on Sky Sports when Klopp was offended by Keane’s analysis of Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Arsenal at Anfield.
After watching the Reds defeat the Gunners thanks to goals from Sadio Mane, Andrew Robertson and Diogo Jota, Manchester United legend turned expert Keane said Liverpool were “excellent” but had “sloppy moments”.
But Klopp didn’t like the word “sloppy” and told Keane that “he couldn’t have been talking about this game.”
And Liverpool fans loved the response. This is what they have said on Twitter:
Speaking to Keane, Klopp said: “Was it a sloppy performance tonight? I’m not sure I heard him right, maybe he talked about another game, it can’t be this game. That’s an amazing description of this game, this was absolutely exceptional, nothing was neglected, absolutely nothing. It was from the first dominant second, against a fit team, 100% fit.
“You have to be very careful with counterattacks, I think 60/70% of all his balls inside were out of play.
“You wait a little longer for the flag, that’s why it doesn’t feel so good, but it was offside. Ali had to make a save, we had two balls behind, you can’t help that, you need a goalkeeper in these situations.
“Other than that, the football that was played was absolutely exceptional tonight, so it doesn’t help for any other game, not for Thursday, not for Sunday, for nothing. This game tonight, there is nothing wrong with it. tell”.
