NDC is inconsistent with secessionists in western Togo – Mame Yaa | Politics

The deputy director of communications for the ruling New Patriotic Party (PNP), Mame Yaa Aboagye, says the position of the opposition NDC against the secessionists in western West Togo is pure dishonesty.

According to her, the NDC and its standard-bearer have been inconsistent on the western Togo discussion from the beginning.

She instructed the NDC to clarify its position on the matter and stop attributing blame.

“When secessionists previously invaded parts of the Volta region, NDC and Mr. Mahama quickly came to a conclusion and began to blame President Akufo-Addo and the PNP for sending the Armed Forces to deprive them of their rights over the registration of Election Commission voters and also to create fear and panic before the 2020 elections. They also stated that the PNP created confusion in the Region to prevent volunteers from going out to vote on December 7 to make them lose more votes in order to make them (NDC) unpopular. But we all know that the Armed Forces by intelligence were somewhere in the Volta Region to protect the people against some of these problems.

“It appears that the inconsistent NDC reappears with another drama that instigates that the government is behind the roadblock from secessionists blaming NPP again for being reluctant to arrest the company. All I see in this issue is a huge disconnect between the reality on the ground and the inconsistency of the opposition party.“, she said.

He urged political parties to allow security agencies to do their job.

“Let us resolve this issue without politics because both the NPP and the NDC have their supporters in the Volta Region since the result will not affect only one political party, therefore we should leave the matter to the security experts for advice on what concerns this topic, ” she highlighted.
