The Greater Accra youth wing of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has set the stage for the party’s electoral victory in 2020 with a grand launch of its youth campaign with the aim of maintaining and increasing Greater Accra’s parliamentary seats.
The event that took place last Thursday at the GNAT Hall in Accra was also used to train TESCON youth on how to embark on an effective political campaign and the strategies necessary to ensure victory in political contests.
The platform was also used to swear in various youth campaign committees for NPP Greater Accra.
The event hosted key members of the NPP, including its National Youth Organizer, Henry Nana Boakye, also known as ‘Nana B’, Dr. Lord Commey, a member of the NPP, and the Director of Operations of the Presidency, the Deputy Minister of National Security, Henry Quartey, Hon. Ebenezer Gilbert Nii Narh Nartey, MP for Ablekuma Central, Sheila Bartels Ablekuma North NPP Parliamentary Candidate, among other gurus.
Also present were key executives of the youth wing, including Prince Obeng, Organizer of Greater Accra, NPP
and Moses Abor, Greater Accra Youth Organizer, NPP.
Addressing the campaign launch, Dr. Lord Commey reiterated that only through hard work can the victory of the December 7 election be assured.
“The 2020 elections are not yet closed; come out in your large numbers and work hard selling the good things that the NPP government has brought to the good people of Ghana. Let the spirit of passion guide you in this campaign and realize all efforts so that the victory of 2020 can be assured, “accused Dr. Lord Commey.
For his part, the Greater Accra regional youth organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (PNP), Moses Abor, hinted at the party’s plans to keep its 21 seats in the region and win three more seats in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The young politician says that the PNP will leave no stone unturned to win massively in the region and also guarantee the party’s victory.
Abor said that the NPP will participate in a house-to-house campaign and sell the NPP message for Ghanaians to vote for on December 7, 2020.
For him, the gains made under the PNP must be protected because a vote for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will destroy all the gains made under this current administration.
”Our vision is the agenda to maintain and increase. We keep our 21 seats and increase them by 3 or 4 seats in the next parliamentary elections. We want to win the 2020 elections and we will not relax in achieving that vision, ”he said.
In an interview, Prince Obeng admonished all PNP youth to do their best for the campaign before the December 7 elections.
