Newcomer Luis Suárez wasted no time making his mark on Atlético de Madrid, as Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich suffered a day to forget.
Suárez came off the bench with 20 minutes remaining and Atlético led 3-0, to announce in style three days after his arrival from Barcelona with two goals in a 6-1 win over Granada.
Diego Costa scored the only goal of the first half after nine minutes, and Saúl Niguez saw his penalty in the 16th minute stopped by Rui Silva for the hosts.

Ángel Correa and Joao Félix scored before Suárez’s introduction, and he made an immediate impact by setting up Marcos Llorente to add a fourth.
Suárez scored a good header to open his account in the 85th minute and, as Jorge Molina grabbed a final consolation for Granada, the Uruguayan forward slipped home his second in injury time.
The goals of Gonzalo Melero, Roger Martí and José Luis Morales made Levante come back to win 3-1 at Osasuna, while Unai López scored twice, the second of them with just three minutes remaining, to give Athletic Bilbao’s 2-1 victory in Eibar.

If it turned out to be a good day in Spain for the Uruguayan international, it was terrible in Germany for European champion Bayern, as they fell to a first loss in all competitions in 33 attempts dating back to December at Hoffenheim.
Ermin Bicakcic headed the home team into a lead in the 16th minute that was doubled in eight minutes by Munas Dabour.
