Meanwhile, the Ghana Armed Forces and the Ghana Police Service issued a joint statement saying they were able to thwart attempts by secessionist groups in the Volta region to set the Central Market on fire in Ho.

The Aveyime police commander was also injured and has been evacuated to the police hospital.

Injured members of the HSGF have also been evacuated to Ho University Hospital.

4. All roadblocks have also been cleared and security agencies have taken control of roads and strategic facilities within the Region.
