Ghana coach Charles Akonnor has named a rookie SEVE to his 23-man squad for an international friendly against Mali next month.

Azam Yakubu defender Mohammed has been called up after his splendid performance in the Tanzanian Premier League.

There are also spots for the French-born Strasbourg defender Alexander Djiku and for the relatively unattractive Israel-based Eugene Ansah, as well as for Razak Abalora.

Pyramids FC forward John Antwi, who is the top foreign scorer in the Egyptian top flight, receives his long-awaited call-up to the team.

Former Dreams FC midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey, currently on the French Amiens roster, has his chance with the Black Stars for the first time.

Kamal Deen Sulemana of FC Nordsjaelland has been drafted after an explosive season in the Danish Super League, while Benson Annan of MSK Zilina also has his chance with the West African giants.

Black Stars will face the Eagles in an international friendly on October 9 in Antalya, Turkey.
