Gospel musician Joe Mettle, in his latest interview, has finally addressed the issues surrounding his recent marriage.
Following the long-awaited wedding of the acclaimed gospel singer and his wife, Salomey Selassie Dzisa, rumors ran wild as the couple were alleged to be expecting a child even before their nuptial.
Stories were seen all over the media about how Joe Mettle was forced to marry Selassie because she had taken seeds, with a photo posted online used to substantiate the claim that he had a small tummy.
Again, it was alleged that Joe had someone else he wanted to settle down with and his manager convinced him to leave her for Selassie to avoid misfortune.
These and many more were the rampant news on social media while the newlyweds were on their honeymoon.
The songwriter and singer first spoke about these allegations during an interview with ZionFelix.
At the launch of the Millennium Promise Alliance campaign to support frontline healthcare workers with 1,000,000 PPE, Joe Mettle clarified that all of these stories circulating are false.
“I feel that over time, the media itself should get to know the people they work with. So sometimes you hear some things and you know there is no way for me to say or do them. People always want to say things. People always want to write things, ”he said.
Compared to a soccer game, Joe explained that he viewed life from the perspective of a game with players, coaches, spectators, and commentators.
In his honest opinion, the only way to change a commenter’s comments on a game is to play better so that negative comments don’t bother him.
