The founder of the Ghana Trade Union Movement (GUM), Reverend Christian Kwabena Andrews, aka Osofo Kyiriabosom, says that people who have criticized the Electoral Commission (EC) for charging ¢ 100,000 GH as a filing fee for presidential elections do not have base for their attacks.

He is of the opinion that the constitution gives the EC a mandate to do whatever they want, therefore if they have come out with this figure, there is no need to attack them.

Therefore, the presidential candidate has asked all the candidates and parties that complain to withdraw from the race if they lack the resources to present their candidacy.

The man of God said: “The constitution gives the EC powers to do whatever they want to help Ghana’s development. Candidates have been asked to pay ¢ 100,000 GH; if you can’t pay, withdraw from the race, if you have money file and contest “.

He assured Ghanaians that he will present and compete for GUM to come to power to help transform the country.

The party that said its party is campaigning for the PNP and NDC to be rejected on December 7, 2020, parliamentary and presidential elections.
