Hearts of Oak captain Fatawu Mohammed is happy that the ban on all contact sports has been lifted and has said that they (the players) are ready for the big takeoff heading into the new season.
Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo announced the relaxation of these restrictions last Sunday, in his 17th Covid-19 address to the nation.
And the Hearts of Oak patron has welcomed this news, insisting that players have been starving for a long time and are eager to get back into action.
“We welcome this news, and now is the time to get down to business as we look forward to the next season with high hopes,” Fatawu told Hearts Media.
“We look forward to the start of the preseason and we are determined to go the extra mile to prepare well enough for the start of the new season,” he added.
The club has yet to announce the arrangements for the start of the preseason campaign, although we are well informed that the decision is imminent.
“As soldiers of the club, we are always waiting for the battle and we are just waiting for the announcement of the start of our preseason program,” said Fatawu.
“Next season will be good for us if we prepare well for it, and we are hopeful for a good preseason campaign leading to the new season,” Fatawu said.
He asked the fans for their support saying, “we will need a lot for the new season” and that they cannot fulfill this promise without the help of all the phobians.
