The youth wing of the ruling New Patriotic Party (PNP) has outlined sixty achievements of the Akufo-Addo government with a great positive impact on the people of the Ashanti region.

In a statement copied to Peacefmonline.com, National Youth Organizer Henry Nana Boakye, also known as Nana B, described 60 of the more than 200 accomplishments at the Ashanti Regional Youth Wing Campaign Team Inauguration today in Kumasi.

According to him, the PNP government led by HE Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, in its first term, has performed extremely well in the Ashanti region.

The National Youth Organizer Nana B added that the projects listed above are without the various specific constituencies, districts, municipal and metropolitan projects that the PNP government has carried out in the Ashanti region and asks that the good people of the region give it to President Akufo-Addo and the PNP four more years to do more for the region.

EMPLOYMENT CREATION

1. The NABCO Ashanti region has 24,724 beneficiaries out of 100,000 nationwide

2. The NPP has used 93,742 teaching and non-teaching materials under the ministry of education, of which the Ashanti region has only 11,425.

3. Employed 81,808 nurses, of whom 7,244 are from the Ashanti region.

4. Planting for food and employment has created 762,300 jobs, of which 84,405 are in the Ashanti region.

5. The YEA has also created 184,593 of which 26,789 are from the Ashanti region.

6. We have forestry commission employing 7,425 in Ashanti region out of the national figure of 84,183.

7. NEIP has created 92,000 jobs and opportunities, of which 8,200 are beneficiaries of the Ashanti region.

8. The resurrection of AngloGold Ashanti by the PNP government has created 4,163 jobs in the region.

INDUSTRIALIZATION / 1D1F

The factories under 1D1F that have been established so far across the country are 78 of which the Ashanti region alone has 20 factories, including 11 green factories (built from the ground) and they have created 3,776 jobs in the region and 10,963 across the nation.

14. Agro Africa limited located in Asankare, Asante Akyem South dedicated to the production and processing of pigs

15. Ababio Express located in Asokore Mampong and dedicated to the production of fruits and juices.

16. Kasapreko company limited located in Tanoso, Atwima Nwabiagya district and engaged in the production of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. 1D1F Facilitated a loan from GCB & EXIM Bank and also technical assistance to expand to full capacity.

17. Kaskazini located in Bekwai, Bekwai municipality and dedicated to the processing of palm kernel oil

18. Rider Horn and Steel Ghana Company Limited is located in Konongo, central district of Asante Akim and is engaged in the manufacture of steel and iron products.

19. Beacon Hill Industries Limited, located in Kumasi, Kumasi, manufactures high quality floating fish feed.

20. SarChin’s chip bamboo production is located in Abuakwa, Atwima Nwabiagya district, dedicated to bamboo processing.

21. Prestigious diamond industry located in the metropolis of Kumasi and dedicated to the processing and packaging of tomato paste

22. Santinos sausages and fine meat can be found in Atwima Kwanwoma district and it is dedicated to meat processing.

23. The Asamoa and Yamoa farms are located in Santasi and are engaged in processing live poultry into poultry meat for KFC.

24. Boris B Farms and veterinary supplies in Chirapatre, Kumasi is engaged in the processing of poultry feed

25. The Juabin oil mill in Ejisu-juaben is dedicated to the transformation of palm nuts into edible vegetable oil and industrial crude.

26. Darko Farms Limited in Atwima Mponuoa is engaged in processing live birds into poultry meat.

27. Leapob Company Limited is located in Obuasi Township and is engaged in the processing of palm nuts into edible vegetable oil and industrial crude.

28. Spring, bolt and nuts limited is a bolt and nut production company located in Kumasi metropolis.

29. Premier Food Limited is located in the municipality of Offinso Sur and is dedicated to the production and processing of cassava into ethanol, cassava, flour, starch and gari.

30. Oserby Unique Ventures co-Limited in Kumasi is engaged in the production of poultry, pigs and fish

31. Best fertilizer company limited is located in the southern district of Asante Akyem and is engaged in the production and packaging of fertilizers

32. Royal Jute Company Limited in Amansie West District is an integrated jute industry for the production of jute bags.

EDUCATION

33. Under the policy of free SHS and free TVET, the Ashanti region has 222,099 beneficiaries out of the 1.2 million beneficiaries nationwide.

34. Of the 144,000 beneficiaries of the teacher training subsidy, the region has 25,253 students

35. The construction of the John Agyekum Kuffour school in Dabaa.

36. 4,500 beneficiaries in the Ashanti region out of a total of 30,000 from the tertiary scholarship scheme of the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat.

INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS

A total of 2,344 projects have been started in the Ashanti region with 1,037 completed and 1,307 ongoing. Some subsectors are highlighted below:

37. Water and sanitation infrastructure: 814 projects in total, 378 completed, 436 ongoing

38. Educational infrastructure: 670 projects in total, 299 completed, 371 in progress

39. Within the framework of school infrastructure projects, the region has 225 projects as part of the basic school projects, which include blocks of classrooms, common room for teachers, administration blocks, libraries, among others, and 261 projects school within the framework of SHS projects that also includes blocks of classrooms, dormitories, science laboratories, etc.

40. Energy infrastructure: 204 projects in total, 88 completed, 116 ongoing

41. Road infrastructure: 188 projects in total, 105 completed, 83 in progress

42. Health infrastructure: 103 projects in total, 53 completed, 50 in progress

43. Market infrastructure: 61 projects in total, 26 completed, 35 ongoing

44. Industrial infrastructure: 42 projects in total, 16 completed, 26 ongoing

45. Housing infrastructure: 24 completed, 137 ongoing

46. ​​The region has 6 of the 1,000 metric ton storage projects; the beneficiary communities are Tepa, Drobonso, Ejura, Kumawu – wonoo, Akumadan and Mampong.

47. Ultra-modern 5,000-capacity youth sports and resource center (stadium) in Nyinahini

48. Construction and paving of roads in Kumasi City

49. Completion of the Asokore Mampong affordable housing project started by the Kuffour administration and abandoned for 8 years under the NDC by the Mills / Mahama-led governments.

50. Renovation of the Kumasi Baba Yara sports stadium.

51 Completion of the second phase of the Kumasi Kejetia market

52. Construction of the Kumasi International Airport.

HEALTH

In the health sector, the PNP government has achieved the following in the Ashanti region:

56. Supply of 49 ambulances to the region, one per district and two for the region

57. The Government has established a drone delivery service in Mampong to assist in the distribution of medicines and other essential medicines in the region.

58. Of the 159,000 beneficiaries of the nursing school allocations, only the region, which has 11 nursing institutions, has 29,644 nursing scholarship recipients.

END OF THE ENERGY CRISIS (DUMSOR)

59. Former President
