The Wolves expect an ambitious move for Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The capture of Thiago Alcantara by the Bayern Munich Reds is likely to push Oxlade-Chamberlain further down the pecking order at Anfield.
And the wolves hope to gain the upper hand by convincing them that there is a deal to be made.
Oxlade-Chamberlain played 30 games for Liverpool in the Premier League last season to help his club become champions for the first time in 30 years.
But he struggled to maintain a place in the starting lineup and, with Thiago’s arrival, he will find those kinds of opportunities even harder to come by.
Liverpool will want to get back as much of the £ 25 million they paid to get him out of Arsenal in 2017 if they want to sell the 27-year-old.
He has missed the start of the season after injuring his knee during the club’s preseason trip to Austria.
The Wolves have already bought a Liverpool player from Molineux in this transfer window, confirming the signing of Ki-Jana Hoever for £ 9m on Saturday.
Would Oxlade-Chamberlain be a crafty signing for Nuno Espirito Santo? Give us your opinion here.

The 18-year-old defender made four senior category appearances for the Reds and scored in last season’s Carabao Cup win over Milton Keynes Dons.
Hoever won the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup with the club, but is leaving in search of more frequent opportunities with the first team.
Meanwhile, Diogo Jota has moved in the opposite direction, for a fee that could amount to £ 45 million.
After a successful loan period in the West Midlands, Nuno Espirito Santo permanently signed Jota from Atlético de Madrid in 2018.
The Portugal international has scored 16 Premier League goals and will be the back-up for Liverpool’s three established forwards – Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
