MALZ Promotions CEO and Miss Universe Ghana organizer Menaye Donkor has revealed that this year’s winner will be named and not competed.

As a rule, the beauty pageant organizers would have held auditions and, for several weeks, selected women who would fight until a winner was crowned on stage in front of a packed audience.

However, this year is different due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In an interview Thursday with Lexis Bill on Joy FM’s ‘Personality Profile’, Menaye said: As a leader, my priority is to make sure everyone around us, the team and the women who will go through the audition process are safe. “

“It’s something we’ve been back and forth about, trying to figure out the best way to do things this year, and we came up with a perfect plan to reveal our designated queen to support us.

Adding that the decision was unanimous, with all stakeholders “It was a discussion I had with the international office, and we agreed to appoint a representative this year to represent Ghana.”

Referring to what the new selection was going to look like, Menaye describes the attributes of an ideal choice, one that changes lives and does good.

“We are really looking for a lady who will make a difference because you know that the pandemic has affected many lives, so as queen, your responsibility this year during her reign is basically to help those in need, to put on her crown, not just to portray a beautiful girl, but to change lives and do good. “she said.

This year’s Miss Universe Ghana queen will be unveiled on September 26 at the Labadi Beach Hotel. The show will also be prerecorded and broadcast on Joy Prime television.
