Sola Ayew, a former Ghana international, believes that the appointment of a captain to the senior team, the Black Stars, should not be based on seniority.

But Sola Ayew, who is the uncle of the Ayew brothers, believes that the system used to appoint the Black Star captains should be changed.
“The country has suffered for far too long when it comes to captaincy issues. I have followed Black Stars for a long time and they will realize that our leadership role was selected based on seniority, ”he said. Hello fm.
“But I think it is time for us to change it. I think the current FA should ask questions about it.
“Sometimes we go to certain games without our substantive captain because maybe his age. We should look at that side,” he added.
