The standard-bearer for the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Ivor Greenstreet, has said that his party has undergone many transformations in recent years.

Greenstreet told Stephen Anti at the Elections Command Center on TV3 on Tuesday, September 15, that there have been changes at the constituency, regional and national levels of the CPP as part of moves to strengthen it for elections.

These transformations, he said, have made the party a force to be reckoned with in this year’s elections.

“Since the last elections, there has been a reorganization of the party [at] constituency level, regional level.

“There have been many changes that have brought a new dynamism, new ideas that have brought hope.

“Time is short and we think we can use it well.”

He noted that polling polls have shown how tired Ghanaians are of the two main political parties, the NDC and the NPP, “and we believe that the CPP is their choice.”

Greenstreet also told Stephen Anti that if he wins the ballot box, he will cancel and renegotiate some of the multinational contracts that the nuclear power plant and NDC governments have signed.

In his view, the country is not benefiting from some of the multinational contracts signed by the NDC and CN governments, hence his decision to re-examine these contracts.

“We would renew and review the contracts,” he said, adding that “we intend to negotiate some of them.”

“We will insist on fighting for better contracts for Ghana,” he added.
