Neymar claimed to have heard a racist insult during Paris St Germain’s loss to Marseille on Sunday. The Brazilian made the accusation to the fourth official when leaving the court after being one of the five players sent off during the match and then repeated the claim on social networks.
The PSG forward was fired for a punch on Álvaro González, the player he accused of making the racist comment. Neymar tweeted after the match that his “only regret” was not hitting the Marseille player in the face, having caught him on the back of the head. González later tweeted that “there is no place for racism” and added, “sometimes you have to learn to lose and accept it in the field.”
A full-scale brawl broke out on the pitch in the last minute of injury time, forcing referee Jerome Brisard to send off Neymar, as well as PSG teammates Laywin Kurzawa and Leandro Paredes, as well as the duo of Benedetto and Jordan. Amavi from Marseille.

Marseille claimed a resounding victory after Florian Thauvin struck in the 31st minute of a throbbing but short-tempered match at the Parc des Princes.
It was Marseille’s first league win over PSG since November 2011, condemning last season’s Champions League runners-up to their second consecutive league loss after suffering a 1-0 setback on the matchday. inaugural in Lens.
