Mr David Tiahno Quarshie, the parliamentary hopeful for the ruling New Patriotic Party (PNP) of Ketu South, has asked residents to vote for the party for a change.

He said that unlike the opposition Democratic National Congress (NDC), which had enjoyed tremendous constituency support without doing much for its people, the NPP would show gratitude for the support of the people in meeting their development needs.

Quarshie, who made the call during the launch of two farm tractor services under the ‘Ketu South Shall Prosper Initiative’, said the NPP was mindful of the needs of the people and would work to address them when they voted in power. .

“Since the start of the Fourth Republic in 1992, we have been voting for the NDC but there is very little to show for that loyalty. An NDC government means that we have ministers, vice ministers, members of parliament (MP) and municipal chief executives (MCE). All these people come from here but what is there to show? I ask.

“Now, we have the MCE as ours in this government and we are seeing what it is doing. I’m not your deputy yet, but you can see what I started doing years even earlier. Our vote for the NDC for decades has been a waste. Vote for me and the PNP for change and development, ”said the candidate.

Mr. Wisdom Samuel Doe Haligah, president of Ketu South NPP, asked residents to ignore the NDC’s all-time trick of lashing out at the tribal feelings and emotions of the Voltarians “generally starting from Ketu South” and vote for the party to avoid heartbreak, predicting NPP would win the December elections.

Ignore the claims that NPP doesn’t like sheep, that NPP discriminates against sheep, and that the NDC party is pro-sheep. This is all false. Your vote is your power, and so consider what you can benefit from when you give up your power to a political party. Decades of loyalty to the NDC brought nothing. Vote NPP for the best results. “

Mr. Elliot Edem Agbenorwu, Ketu South MCE, said the tractors would benefit many farmers in the municipality.

He said that it was necessary for the December elections to be a turning point in the area for residents to start casting their vote for the PNP saying that even “if it is a curse, this time we will break it.”
