Former Member of Parliament (MP) from the La Dadekotopon constituency, Nii Amasah Namoale has revealed that he once planned to subject Assin Central Member of Parliament Kennedy Agyapong to a severe beating.

According to him, the plan was hatched after the outspoken MP made offensive comments about Ewes and Gas ahead of the 2012 general election.

“He told them to attack the members of these two tribes with machetes. Kennedy also threatened security; he incited people to lynch any security personnel who tried to keep the peace in the region, ”Namoale said.

Speaking in Happy fmNamoale indicated that the comments made by the honorable deputy aroused his youthful anger.

He went on to say that in his anger, he hatched a vengeful plan with Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo to beat Kennedy, so he also felt the pain his threats subjected Ewes and Gas to.

“Kennedy Agyapong once made some negative comments about Ewe and Ga, which made me very angry. Angry, I devised a plan with Nii Afotey Agbo to ambush Kennedy and beat him in parliament. He was lucky that time passed and the pain healed, ”said Namoale.

On Wednesday, September 9, 2020, Kennedy Agyapong, speaking at an Accra-based radio station, expressed anger at a judge’s decision to grant an injunction against him without allegedly conducting due diligence.

In reaction to this current event, former legislator Nii Amasah Namoale gave Kennedy Agyapong some advice saying: “I will plead with my brother Kennedy Agyapong, his charge of treason made against him in 2012 can be triggered at any time …”

“The treason trial is still active since he was indicted in the wrong court. I will beg you that tribalism and ethnocentrism is not a good thing. We are a Ghana, so I will beg you to stop those acts,” he added. he said.
