Veteran Highlife musician AB Crenstil has noticed that current artists who claim to do a genre of high life are making a funky song.
He explained that the new artist making the high life to make the genre that originated in Ghana lose its identity.

In an interview on Joy, AB Crenstil stated that the new guys are playing funky instrumentals today.
He stated that he is disappointed in the current artist who claims to be creating high life songs because many songs made by foreigners are mixed with high life sounds, making him adopted.
He stressed that it can be clearly seen that most of them are making funky songs, but claim they are creating highlife.

However, he revealed that Takoradi artist Kofi Kinaata is the only artist who holds the genre very well.
