The Ghana Football Association (GFA) would like to announce that the deadline for beach soccer clubs to complete and submit their registration details for the upcoming season has been extended.

The decision follows a meeting between GFA Beach Soccer Committee Chair Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, Secretary General Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq.), Sena Akoto-Ampaw, Head of the Department of Competitions and Francis Adu, Head of the Department Information Technology Department of the GFA.

The extension would allow beach soccer clubs sufficient time to prepare the required registration documents and details for a smooth transition to the GFA’s FIFA Connect system with the new deadline set for closing on Friday, September 18, 2020. .

It should be remembered that in March 2020, Beach Soccer clubs began the registration process before Covid-19 stopped the original program.

Currently, 26 beach soccer clubs in Ghana have indicated their willingness to launch the GFA Beach Soccer Premier League and First Division Beach Soccer League competitions.

The process, once completed, will pave the way for Beach Soccer clubs to register their players in the GFA FIFA Connect System and use the Competition Management System (CMS) to manage Beach Soccer competitions.
