The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Ghana University Professors Association (GNAT) has denounced the government regarding its unpaid Book and Research Allocations (BRA) to its members for the 2019/20 academic year.

In a press release accepted by Committee Chair Professor Charles Marfo and Secretary Dr Eric Abavare, the group said that, despite ensuring that all imperative requirements have been implemented to secure the assignment, the government has not stuck to its end. the deal.

They also mention that the continuous attempts to reach the authorities in charge have been useless.

“As a consequence of all the efforts of UTAG, which have not resulted in anything beneficial to its members, with this statement, UTAG wishes to draw the attention of the government that the Association will advise its members to stop attending any of their functions as of Monday. , September 14, 2020, if at the close of this established date the bonuses have not yet been paid to us, ”the statement reads.

The UTAG NEC further states that if more disruptions are caused in the upcoming academic year, there is no blame.
