Former Ghana President John Agyekum Kufour has urged Asante Kotoko CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah to make the club financially viable.

Amponsah visited the former president on Tuesday to provide him with an opportunity to gather experience and helpful advice from former club presidents and managers.

Mr. Kufour was the Chairman of the Asante Kotoko board from 1988 to 1991.

Amponsah’s visit is part of his engagement tour following his appointment as executive director of the Ghanaian giants.

Former president Kufour reiterated the need for the club’s commercialization.

Amponsah was introduced in August 2020 and has been tasked with turning Asante Kotoko into a corporate entity.

The CEO has already met with the former president and Bantamahene, Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI, known in private life as Sylvester Asare Owusu.

He also met with the former CEO and current CEO of the National Petroleum Corporation of Ghana, Dr. Kofi Kodua Sarpong. -Ghanasoccernet.com
