The Ghana Education Service (GES) has warned candidates writing upcoming Basic Education Certificate exams to refrain from cheating on exams.

In a press release, the Service stated that they will ensure that the sanctity of the exam is maintained.

This comes after several instances of exam misconduct were recorded during the recently completed West African High School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

“We want to remind all candidates, supervisors and supervisors to appreciate the fact that the foundation of success in life is honesty and hard work and therefore we urge all candidates and stakeholders to avoid all forms of bad practice in exams during the period, “the statement said.

GES noted that the BECE will be carried out with absolute respect for all Covid-19 security protocols.

Exams are scheduled to begin September 14-18.

The agency reiterated that all reported cases of negligence will be promptly investigated and resolved decisively.

Meanwhile, they wished all the candidates the best in their exams.
