The national president of the opposition Democratic National Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, has asked party members who want to be part of the next administration of John Mahama if the party wins the 2020 elections, to be seen about the working ground. at the polling stations on Election Day or say goodbye to your dreams.

Speaking at a training workshop for lawyers and former party appointees to develop their skills in policing polling and matching centers, Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo urged participants to be vigilant on Election Day to ensure the victory of the NDC.

He told the participants: “We want to assure the good people of this country that we are taking everything seriously, especially the activities in the polling stations and that is why they are here; you are here to focus on what is happening at the polling station. “

“From the opening of the polls until the beginning of the vote until the end, we are going to monitor every aspect and we are going to give our best.”

“That is why I have asked the standard-bearer, for example, that anyone who wants to enjoy and be part of a future NDC government should be prepared so that on Election Day they are seen at the voting table defending and protecting the ballot. and ensuring that he supports our party at the grassroots level to win the elections because it is the sum of the results of the polling stations that will give us victory on December 7, 2020, ”he said.

“So my wake-up call is: Identify yourself with an electoral college,” he added.

He added that “if it is not for nothing, where you vote, make sure you stay there from morning until the election result is declared.”

The NDC faces stiff competition from the ruling New Patriotic Party (PNP) led by President Nana Akufo-Addo, who has also expressed confidence in retaining her seat after the elections.
