The Ministry of Finance has organized a meeting with the council of social associations and religious organizations, on the transactions of Agyapa Royalty.
The meeting that took place on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 and chaired by the Minister of Finance, seeks to expand knowledge about the Agyapa transaction.
Social organizations that participated in the online zoom meeting, with the ministry include; Trade Unions and the Ghana Employers Association.
Churches such as the Catholic, the Christian Council of Ghana, the Pentecostal and Charismatic Council of Ghana, among others, were also present.
A statement from the Ministry of Finance describes that the Honorable Ken Ofori Atta enlightened the participants on the nature and benefits of the Agyapa agreement.
According to the ministry, all the organizations involved in the meeting agreed with the government’s initiative and warned that Ghanaians come to light about the benefits of the agreement, through constant education.
They also suggested that understanding be provided to citizens through local languages, for the effectiveness of transactions.
