Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has been controlled by Rio Ferdinand and Dele Alli after posting his last time for a nearly 5km run.
With the UK shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, footballers have been hitting sidewalks and parks, and sharing their time on social media.
Scott McTominay leads the ranking among United players with an impressive time of just over 16 minutes over 5km, while Maguire posted a screenshot of a 4.78km race completed in under 18 minutes.
But some players have been accused of faking their time, after Ross Barkley claimed that his running time was 16 minutes and 11 seconds, even though the total elapsed time showed one hour and five minutes.
And now United legend Ferdinand and his Maguire teammate in England Alli have jokingly accused the Red Devils boss of being “caught up in his time.”

During a conversation with Tottenham stars Alli and Kyle Walker-Peters for COPA90 Soccer, Ferdinand said: ‘You guys have to clear this up for me because I heard that some people have been telling lies.
“Phil Neville was trapped with a time. Harry Maguire too, I heard, he has been trapped with his time.”
“Barkley … Barkley made a world record, bruv!”
When asked what time Maguire had posted, Ferdinand replied, “I don’t know, but it was discovered that the time he entered was incorrect.”

Alli also joined the jokes, highlighting the defender’s 6-foot-4-inch physical stature as a reason he didn’t believe in his runtime.
“If that’s less than 25 minutes, it’s a lie!” the Tottenham midfielder joked.
Ferdinand said Maguire was “a big guy, he had to carry that down the track,” and Alli replied, “He has so much weight to carry!”
Meanwhile, United winger Daniel James, without being himself, revealed that there was a competition between the team for who could post the best blocking runtime.
And James does not believe that McTominay can be defeated.
“A lot of the guys are going out there, running around and sending them out,” James said in quotes reported by Meter.
“It is a competition to get the best time of 5 km. It has been good, enjoyable and still competitive.”
“Scott is winning right now and I don’t think anyone is going to beat him.”
