COVID-19: 143 New Cases Recorded in Ghana, Active Case Count Now 831

Ghana’s active COVID-19 case count has risen to 831 after 143 new cases were recorded.

The latest update from the Ghana Health Service indicates that 42,898 people out of a cumulative total of 45,012 have recovered from the disease.

Of the cumulative total infected, 17,805 were detected through routine surveillance and 27,207 through enhanced contact tracing, while a total of 283 people have died.

Meanwhile, a total of 16 people have severe coronavirus cases, while six (three with ventilators) are said to be in critical condition.

The country has also conducted a total of 448,820 coronavirus tests since the first case was recorded in March 2020.
