Hearts of Oak Managing Director (MD) Frederick Moore has indicated that the club wants to keep striker Kofi Kordzi, but will not force him to stay against his will.

This is due to the great interest of the Qatari club Al-Sailiya, who are determined to sign the forward in the current summer transfer window to strengthen their team.

“The hearts of the board want the forward to stay. We will do our best, but if he wants to go, we will let him.

“The proposal did not cite any figure, but when negotiating with them, the $ 200,000 came in,” said Frederick Moore in an interview with Oyerepa FM.

He continued: “We have met with the player to extend his contract and that was when this proposal came.

“We will do the best for the club and also for the player.”

Talks will continue between Hearts of Oak and Al-Sailiya in the coming days. If an agreement is reached, Kofi Kordzi could move to Qatar to continue his football.

Last season, the strong forward appeared in all 14 of the Phobians’ matches in the Ghana Premier League before it was canceled and managed to score 6 goals in the process.
